Mid-Ohio Valley Climate Action and the South Parkersburg Library in Parkersburg, West Virginia, are hosting an exhibit of ten AWTT portraits from October 18 to November 17, 2025 at the library. The theme of the exhibit is “Environmental Justice Truth Tellers.” The show includes several well-known environmental activists—Bill McKibben, Naomi Klein, and Wendell Berry—as well as some intriguing lesser-known champions of the environment, including West Virginia’s own Larry Gibson and young environmental justice activist Jaysa Hunter-Mellers.
The opening reception, on October 17, from 5-8 p.m. at the library will feature a Zoom conversation with AWTT artist Robert Shetterly (6-7 p.m.).
This program is made possible by the Mountain Watershed Association’s Direct Support Fund. The Fund is supported by the Cloud Mountain Foundation, The Plastic Solutions Fund, the Heinz Endowment, and the 11th Hour Project.
