Blue Hill Books invites you to a book reading at the Blue Hill Library on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 7 p.m.

AWTT portrait artist Robert Shetterly will be joined by other writers and editors, reading from their recently released collection of essays Ground Truth: Writing Towards Justice.

“Coeditors Claire Millikin, Mihku Paul, Karin Spitfire, and Maya Williams spent eighteen months gathering and editing writings from Maine writers and activists addressing the contemporary situation in our nation and state. Our book represents the work of some forty writers, including Gibson Fay-LeBlanc, Arisa White, Eklas Ahmed, Rylan Hynes, and Donna Loring.
