AWTT Brings Immersive Experience to NJEA Convention
AWTT staff are excited to be attending the New Jersey Education Association’s annual convention again this year – in Atlantic City, November 6-7, 2025.
AWTT artist Robert Shetterly and staff members Kristie Gonzalez and Connie Carter will be mixing it up with New Jersey educators on the convention floor. The convention organizers bill the AWTT booth as follows:
“Experience the heart of creativity, connection and renewal as you travel through Resilience and Reflection Row, an immersive space on the Exhibit Floor. This unique area blends art, music, expression and healing, offering a reflective and connective pause in your convention journey. Begin with the Americans Who Tell the Truth exhibit, where 24 of Robert Shetterly’s portraits honor pivotal American figures and spark deep reflection. . . . Resilience and Reflection Row invites you to reflect, create, and reconnect with the passion, values, and resilience that drive us as proud, public school educators—all within a space designed to inspire and renew.”
AWTT will be joined on Resilience and Reflection Row by the New Jersey Hall of Fame; TeachRock; and The Point, led by Todd Henkin, in partnership with Teaching Artists affiliated with Carnegie Hall’s Lullabye Project.
And there will be games! Based on the rich connections made with New Jersey educators last year, AWTT is anticipating a big, enthusiastic crowd; they will be offering some new activities and hot-off-the-press AWTT swag.
