Come join us on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Heart of Ellsworth Maker Space for some intergenerational art-making facilitated by AWTT portrait artist Robert Shetterly. This art experience will find us creating self-portraits or art that represents a part of who we are and then, the important part, adding a quotation that expresses hope, critical foundations of who we are, inspiration to rally, or whatever words you want your portrait to “say” to the world. If you are willing, we hope to find places in the greater Ellsworth area to display these pieces to spread the message and to encourage people to stand for truth, courage, and compassion.

To help us begin to feel the artistic spirit, we will begin our time together with music by a local musician who will share music that will bring us all together as we take this journey.

We see this as an opportunity for multi-generational dialogue, music making, and creative art all inspired by courage and a commitment to act for the common good.
