Cruel Threats to Hungry Families and Children

Washington Inquirer

Marian Wright Edelman, founder an president emerita, of the Children’s Defense Fund, continues her fight for children – that they may lead healthy, safe lives, freed from poverty and imbued with hope and aspiration.

In this March 2019 Op-Ed piece, Edelman focuses in on impending SNAP cuts that will hurt the lowest-income children.

Earlier this year, The Washington Post, published an article about her ongoing work at age 79.

“I quote Dr. King all the time about the importance of moving forward: If you can’t fly, you drive; if you can’t drive, you run; if you can’t run, you walk; if you can’t walk, you crawl. But you keep moving forward.”
