“Truth Tellers chronicles the lives of courageous Americans fighting for peace, racial equality, environmental justice and indigenous rights through the eyes of artist Robert Shetterly. Shetterly uses his art to explore these activists’ response to some of the most pressing issues of today. The film explores the intersection of these issues and the urgency of coming together to confront them.”
The film, directed by Richard Kane, won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Whistleblower Summit & Film Festival and has been featured at numerous film festivals around the country, including the Camden International Film Festival, the Independent Film Festival Boston, and the Global Peace Film Festival.
Bill Moyers, American journalist and political commentator, commented, “I am an ardent fan of Robert’s work and of the man himself. He is the Diogenes of our time, searching for truth in the work of his subjects. He has become an invaluable chronicler of 2lst century America. . . . Congratulations with this important film.”
The film is also available for purchase at Bullfrog Films and for academic streaming through Docusee.
