AWTT at the NCSS Annual Conference in Philadelphia
As AWTT works to expand its educational programs, we are delighted to participate in the 102nd National Conference for the Social Studies (NCSS) annual conference in Philadelphia, December 2-4, 2022.
Our presentation, Portraits and Stories Inspire Action for the Common Good, will be happening on Friday, Dec. 2, 3:50-4:50 in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Room104 B. Our booth in the Exhibit Hall will be open all day Friday and Saturday. This will give AWTT staff members an opportunity to network with hundreds of social studies teachers from around the country.
According to the conference organizers, “this is the first face-to-face NCSS Annual Conference since 2019. So conference goers are especially excited to attend this year, to:
- Learn new techniques from more than 500 sessions covering 6 sub-themes.
- Receive new classroom-ready lessons.
- Interact with well-known speakers and educators.
- Share teaching strategies and solutions with peers.
- Reconnect and network with social studies and geography colleagues from across the U.S.
- Discover the latest teaching products and services in the exhibit hall.”
A highlight of this year’s conference will be the screening of the documentary film Mighty Ira and a address by former ACLU executive director Ira Glass.
