Enter MY HERO Project’s Student Portrait Contest

The MY HERO Project has opened its invitation to enter the 2025 Robert Shetterly Portrait Contest. Submissions are due by May 1, 2025.

Students of all ages are invited to submit portraits representing “someone you admire who has done something significant – for you, for your community, or for our planet.”

Each work of art can illustrate a heroic act that has impacted your world or our society as a whole.

Each entry needs to include a sentence or more about the hero or heroic act which will be taken into consideration during judging.

Works of art submitted will be judged by Robert Shetterly, artist founder of Americans Who Tell the Truth and the MY HERO Gallery staff.

The mission of the MY HERO Project is using media, art and technology to celebrate the best of humanity, one story at a time. We shine a light on positive role models to help students of all ages realize their own potential to make positive change in the world.
