SUMMARY:World Peace Game Workshop with John Hunter
DESCRIPTION:Join World Peace Game creator and educator John Hunter for an open discussion about the four universal principles behind the World Peace Game. Hunter is the creator of the classroom game, which has spread to all parts of the world through his Foundation. Read AWTT’s biographical sketch of Hunter’s work ( https://americanswhotellthetruth.org/portraits/john-hunter/ ).\nThis is a rare oppportunity for educators in Eastern Maine to learn about Hunter’s revolutionary curriculum around the World Peace Game and to get to know this remarkably gifted educator in person.\nOpen to all interested members of the public, with a special invitation to area teachers.\nGo to Eventbrite to purchase your ticket\nMore about the Workshop\nLearn how Hunter’s “four universal principles”  apply to teaching in any setting for the ultimate outcome of compassionate teaching and compassionate learning. The World Peace Game is a hands-on political simulation that gives players the opportunity to explore the connectedness of the global community through the lens of the economic, social, and environmental crises and the imminent threat of war. The goal of the game is to extricate each country from dangerous circumstances and achieve global prosperity with the least amount of military intervention. As “nation teams,” students gain greater understanding of the critical impact of information and how it is used as they learn to negotiate for the common good without military intervention.
