new portraits added
Three new portaits have been added to page 8 of the portraits. They are all activists from West Virginia --- Judy Bonds, Larry Gibson, and Denise Giardina --- who are trying to stop the coal mining practice of Mountaintop Removal ( MTR). To understand more about what a devastating crime MTR is against people and the environment, please read my last two journal entries and visit some of the MTR websites: www.ilovemountains.org or www.crmw.org or www.ohvec.org The Appalachian mountains are another front in the resource wars. The mountains are losing.
