Please consider including Alice Greenfield McGrath (1917 - 2009). Alice was a lifelong activist. Her first well known contribution was working with the Sleepy Lagoon Defense Committee in 1942. Her role in the infamous trial was used a the center point of Luis Valdez's play and the movie "Zoot Suit". As Valdez said, "She was one the heroines of the 20th century." Her obituary was published in the L.A. Times on 11/29/09.

I'm assuming your inclusion of Van Jones was before it came to light that he made racisit comments of his own, and before the CRU emails exposed the AGW (Global Warming) hoax? This whole exercise is based on the utopia you imagine in your mind and not reality. You and all who think like you are stuck in the 60's. The fact that you have concocted an educational "curriculum" with this art proves your arrogance in the belief that what your interpretation of "truth", and the people "who tell the truth", is something that other want to hear/learn about. This is nothing more than propaganda.

Thanks for writing.
First, let me make something clear.
There is nothing about this project or its philosophy that has anything to do with utopia. It's only about people with the courage to insist that this country live up to its own ideals as stated in its Declaration and Constitution --- battles about race, gender, worker's rights, the environment, etc., that will continue as long as one group has the power & will to exploit another. That's the truth promoted here. So, if the truth of the Declaration of Independence is propaganda, long live propaganda!
Unfortunately, you have fallen victim to some real propaganda. People promoting Global Warming as a hoax are doing an immense disservice to you & your children. It is real. The CRU emails exposed some stupid decisions by some scientists, not the science.
Van Jones has been attacked & maligned by people out to discredit him. The truth is he is a visonary whose ideas, if followed, would lead to a sustainable, more-equitable future. He is the antithesis of a racist.

You guys should consider adding Ron Paul to your list of Americans Who Tell the Truth. Why? Because of his unending and constant objections to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from the very beginning until this very day. He has gaine the admiration and respect of many people from all sides of life.
